Our testers found it easy to put together and that it appeared to be the most luxurious of our selections. However, it's costly particularly since you have to buy the mattress separately, and if you're on a budget there are cheaper alternatives out there.

This crib sets bed is a fantastic choice if you are looking for extra features. It comes with a handy under-bed storage space and teething rails. Plus, you can adjust the height of the base with three different settings so your child won't be forced to climb out when they're older.

The only downside of this crib is that you have to purchase a mattress separately which can increase the cost more than other models we've reviewed. Its stunning design, ease of assembly and ability to grow with your child are all appealing which makes it a worthy cost. Our testers thought this cot would make a lovely addition to any nursery.

The John Lewis elementary is a fantastic choice for parents looking for a sleek frame that lasts a long time. It's more expensive than other options but it comes with matching changing table and wardrobe so you can outfit your nursery in one go. It's also simple to put together, and includes three mattress height positions for your baby to grow into. It also has teething rails as well as an elegantly slidable drawer under to ensure that you don't need to lose precious floor space.

It's worth noting that you'll need a mattress separately for this cot bed, so be sure to budget accordingly.
