Terms of Service
These Terms govern the conditions for use, procedures, and the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of ValueHub (hereinafter "Operator") and users of the free service provided by lsu.kr (hereinafter "Service"). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Article 1 (Definitions)
- "Service" means the shortened URL (short link) creation, redirect, and statistics functions provided by the Operator at lsu.kr and its subdomains, including all related features.
- "User" means any person who accesses or uses the Service, regardless of whether they have created an account.
- "Member" means a User who has completed email verification and account registration.
- "Link" means a shortened address (including code-based and subdomain-based addresses) created by a User through the Service; "Destination" means the external website to which the link directs.
Article 2 (Terms Posting and Modifications)
- The Operator posts these Terms on the Service interface.
- The Operator may modify these Terms within the scope of applicable law. The Operator will notify users via the Service at least 7 days before changes take effect (or 30 days for changes disadvantageous to users).
- If you continue to use the Service after the effective date of any modification, you are deemed to have agreed to the modified Terms. If you do not agree, you may discontinue use and request account deletion.
Article 3 (Service Provision)
- The Service is provided free of charge on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis by the Operator.
- The Operator may at any time add, modify, or reduce the content, features, design, or usage limits of the Service, and may temporarily suspend or terminate the Service in whole or in part without prior notice if operationally or technically necessary.
- The Operator does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
Article 4 (Account Registration and Management)
- Account registration is completed only upon email verification; accounts without verification cannot log in.
- You are responsible for the management of your account, password, link management password for non-member links, and API keys and secrets. The Operator is not responsible for any consequences resulting from a third party's use of these.
- The Operator may suspend or delete accounts that registered with false information, violated these Terms, or are suspected of improper use, without prior notice.
Article 5 (Prohibited Conduct)
Users must not engage in the following conduct. The Operator may take necessary measures including blocking or deleting links, restricting access, or reporting to relevant authorities if such conduct is discovered or suspected, without prior notice.
- Creating or distributing links to illegal or harmful websites (including gambling, pornography, drugs, unlicensed financial/lending services, illegal file-sharing, etc.)
- Directing links to sites that cause harm to others through phishing, smishing, malware distribution, personal information theft, fraud, etc.
- Using links in mass text messages, messenger spam, illegal advertising, or email campaigns.
- Creating links or bypassing checks using automated means such as bots, AI agents, or scripts, or causing excessive load on the Service (except, where the Operator provides an API, use with an issued key in the prescribed manner and within its limits; the Operator may restrict or block API keys or accounts suspected of excessive or abusive use without prior notice).
- Impersonating other people or organizations, or infringing on others' rights (copyright, trademark, portrait rights, reputation, etc.)
- Testing, bypassing, or attacking the Service's security systems, or replicating or reselling the Service without the Operator's permission.
- Any other conduct in violation of applicable law or public order and morals.
Article 6 (Link Safety Checking and Limitations)
- The Operator may automatically check the destination when a link is created, every 3 hours, and when a link is accessed (including domain registration age of 1 month (30 days), operational status, the Korea Communications Standards Commission blocklist, malware and phishing threat lists, and illegal content keywords). The Operator has no obligation to perform these checks and may change or discontinue the check items, methods, frequency, and external data sources at any time.
- This check is a reference procedure based on publicly available lists and automated methods only and does not warrant that all illegal, harmful, or dangerous websites will be filtered. Even if a link passes the check or is shown as "checked" or "safe", this is not a guarantee or recommendation by the Operator of the safety, legality, or reliability of the destination. Destination content may change at any time after checking.
- The content, safety, legality of destination sites, transactions, personal information entry, downloads conducted through them, and damages arising from such activities are exclusively between the destination site and the user. The Operator assumes no responsibility. Users must exercise caution when entering personal or payment information on unfamiliar sites.
- Because safety checks rely on blocklists and data provided by external organizations and providers and on automated rules, checking errors are unavoidable. Links without problems may be blocked or flagged (false positives) and problematic links may not be blocked (false negatives); the same applies to results caused by errors, omissions, or delays in external lists and data, or by changes to the destination after checking. Such checking errors are an inherent limitation of automated checking and do not by themselves constitute negligence on the part of the Operator.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not liable for any damages arising from the checking errors described in paragraph 4 (including direct and indirect damages, lost business, costs of reprinting promotional materials, and third-party claims), except for damages caused by the Operator's intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
- The Operator has no obligation to disclose the specific reasons for a block or warning, to review or accept objections, or to lift a block. Objections may be submitted via [Contact], and whether, how, and when they are handled is determined by the Operator.
- Before creating or opening a link, users are responsible for verifying the safety and legality of the destination themselves, and users bear the risks and consequences of decisions and actions taken in reliance on check results.
Article 7 (Link Blocking, Suspension, and Deletion)
- Based on check results, accumulated reports, requests from relevant authorities, or operational judgment, the Operator may block, suspend, or delete links, or prevent redirects without prior notice.
- Links with no access (clicks) for 3 months (90 days) are automatically deleted. Deleted addresses cannot be reused by others for one year. This period may be modified by the Operator.
- Deleted or blocked links and their statistics may not be recoverable. The Operator has no obligation to restore or retain them. Users should separately maintain records of their link destinations and statistics.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not responsible for damages suffered by users due to link blocking or deletion, including incorrect blocking (such as costs for recreating promotional materials, printed materials, and QR codes, and business losses), except for damages caused by the Operator's intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
Article 7-2 (Subdomain Links)
- Subdomain addresses (name.lsu.kr) are part of a domain owned and managed by the Operator. Users do not own or have exclusive rights to the name.
- The Operator may refuse or revoke subdomain usage for reasons including reserved words, infringement of third-party rights, or potential confusion. Security certificate issuance may be delayed or fail due to circumstances of external providers.
Article 8 (Advertisements)
- The Service displays advertisements (including third-party affiliate ads such as Coupang Partners) on link redirect screens and main pages to support operations. The Operator may receive fees associated with these advertisements.
- The content, quality, transaction terms, shipping, and refunds of advertised products or services are the responsibility of the advertiser or seller. The Operator is not a party to such transactions and assumes no responsibility.
Article 9 (Intellectual Property Rights)
- Rights relating to the Service, including its design, source code, documentation, and trademarks, belong to the Operator or legitimate rights holders.
- Users are responsible for links they create and their destination addresses. The Operator may use these for Service operation, improvement, security checking, and statistics.
Article 10 (Disclaimer)
The Operator is not responsible for the following matters to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, except where caused by the Operator's intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
- Service interruption, delay, errors, or data loss caused by circumstances beyond the Operator's control, including acts of God, war, power outages, failures of external service providers (ISPs, hosting, cloud, domain, certificates), or third-party attacks (hacking, DDoS).
- Information, products, or services provided by destination sites, advertisers, or other third parties, and disputes between users and third parties.
- Damages caused by user fault (poor account/password management, incorrect address entry, violation of these Terms, etc.).
- Accuracy or completeness of IP location, ISP, and statistics information displayed on the Service, and users' judgments based on this information.
- Indirect, special, consequential, lost profits, or lost expectations damages arising from the use or unavailability of the free Service.
- Damages arising from link blocking, suspension, or deletion, missing or inaccurate statistics, safety-check errors (false positives and false negatives), and errors, omissions, or delays in external blocklists and data
Article 11 (Limitation of Liability)
- Because the Service is provided free of charge, even if the Operator's liability is established, liability is limited to direct and ordinary damages actually suffered by the user, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
Article 12 (User Responsibility and Indemnification)
- If a user violates these Terms or applicable law resulting in damages to the Operator or a third party, the user must compensate for such damages.
- If a third party makes objections, demands, or legal claims against the Operator related to a user's links or conduct, the user must at their own expense and cost indemnify the Operator and compensate the Operator for all damages (including reasonable attorney fees).
Article 13 (Record Retention and Cooperation with Investigations)
- The Operator retains records of link creation, redirects, reports, and access information (IP addresses, etc.) in accordance with the Privacy Policy to prevent improper use and ensure compliance with applicable law.
- The Operator may provide relevant records to competent authorities (investigative agencies, courts, etc.) if requested through proper legal procedures.
Article 14 (Notice)
- The Operator notifies users of matters requiring notification by posting on the Service interface or by email to the email address registered by members. Notices to unspecified groups of users may be given by posting on the Service.
- Users may contact the Operator via the [Contact] section of the Service or at valuehubkorea@gmail.com.
Article 15 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
- These Terms and the use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- Any disputes relating to the use of the Service shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
- If any provision of these Terms is invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. These Terms are in Korean; if the Korean original and any translation differ in meaning, the Korean original prevails.
Supplementary Provision
These Terms become effective as of 2026-09-24.
