Who operates the service?
lsu.kr is operated by ValueHub, the same company that also runs the IP lookup tool ipnow.kr and the creator-focused link service tlnk.kr.
What safety checks run when a link is created?
The destination address is checked for domain registration of at least 1 month (30 days), whether it is actually reachable, absence from the KCSC block list, absence from malware/phishing lists (URLhaus, OpenPhish), and absence of illegal-content keywords. If a redirect chain continues, each hop is re-checked, and links to internal/private-network addresses are blocked.
Checks do not stop after creation — every link is re-checked every 3 hours, and a link is automatically blocked once three different people report it. Links can only be created by a person using a real browser; bots, AI agents and automation tools are not allowed to create them.
What data is collected?
The destination address entered when a link is created is stored, along with an optional email address that guest users register for management purposes. When a click occurs, the access time, an approximate country/city, device and browser information, referral source, and whether the visitor is human or a bot are logged for running the service and producing stats.
Stats are shown in the management screen only in an aggregated form that cannot identify an individual.
What is the ad shown during the redirect?
When someone taps a link, a Coupang Partners advertising banner may appear for about 2 seconds before the redirect completes. This is disclosed as part of Coupang Partners activity, through which a commission may be earned. Visitors recognized as search engines or preview bots skip the banner and redirect immediately.
