Meet lsu.kr
lsu.kr is a free short link service run by ValueHub. It turns long addresses for booking and order texts, KakaoTalk, Naver Band and flyers into short links, and lets customers add + to see where a link goes first, so neighborhood shops and local groups can use it with peace of mind.
How are links sent to customers screened?
When a link in a text from the owner leads somewhere odd, customers start doubting the shop itself. So as soon as lsu.kr receives an address, it first confirms the domain is more than 1 month (30 days) old and reachable right now, then compares it with the KCSC (Korea Communications Standards Commission) block list, the URLhaus and OpenPhish malware and phishing lists, and illegal-content keywords. If the address hands off to other addresses, each stop is examined again, and internal addresses such as private IPs are not accepted.
Once the link is out, screening repeats every time a customer taps it and once every 3 hours, and it is blocked right away when three different people report it. On screen, only links made by a person in a real browser are accepted and creation by bots, AI or automation tools is refused; members who use a sending program get a separate API instead.
A customer who received a link can add + to the end (lsu.kr/Ab3d+) to see the destination and the screening result without being taken there. How to explain this to customers is in how to check if a short link is safe.

What records are kept when a link is made and tapped?
At creation, the destination address is saved, plus the email a guest entered for managing the link, if any (it is optional). When a customer taps the link, the time, a rough country and city, device and browser type, where the tap came from (referrer) and whether it was a human or a bot are recorded.
On the stats screen that shop owners and group organizers see, these records only show up as totals, such as how many taps, from which regions and on which devices, so no single customer can be recognized. Security access logs are kept separately to prevent abuse, and the information gathered is never sold to anyone.
What is the short ad customers see after tapping?
When a person opens a link in a phone or PC browser, a Coupang Partners product banner may appear for about 2 seconds before the destination loads. The banner is part of Coupang Partners activity, and it lets you know that lsu.kr may receive a commission through it.
Bots that search engines and messengers use to build link previews skip the banner and go straight to the destination. After the banner, customers are forwarded automatically to the booking or order page they meant to visit.
Frequently asked questions
What happens to a link nobody has used for a while?
Links do not come with a fixed end date, but one that nobody taps for 3 months (90 days) is erased automatically. If your shop homepage or booking page fails the 3-hourly check 8 times in a row (about a day), the link is put on hold and brought back on its own once the page opens again. An erased address cannot be registered by anyone for 1 year.
I cannot remember my login password.
Type your sign-up email into "Forgot your password?" on the login screen and a reset email arrives. The link inside works exactly once for 1 hour, and switching to a new password also ends any login left open on the shop PC or another phone.
I am closing my shop and want to remove my account.
Log in, open My page > Account and enter your current password under "Delete account" at the very bottom; you are removed immediately. Member details, every link you made and the ad products you saved are deleted together, and the erased link addresses will not pass to anyone else for 1 year.
Can I look at or keep products I saw in the ads?
Tap "View ads again" in the ad box on the main page (or the link in My page or at the very bottom of the page) to see the Coupang products from the last 30 days, and "Show past ads" finds ones from up to 1 year ago. It works in the browser you used, even without logging in. Products you like can be kept with ☆, up to 100: members see them on any device, guests in that browser for 1 year.
How are addresses with unfamiliar characters shown?
For links to domains with non-English characters (IDN), the redirect and link info screens show the true address starting with xn-- as well. If letters from several alphabets are mixed so the address pretends to be another site, like a bank or courier, the true address is displayed in large type with a warning.
Can my booking text program create links by itself?
Yes. Members who have signed up and verified their email can get a key under My page › API and let their sending program make short links directly. The same screening applies as on screen; details are in the API guide.
Who writes the help texts here, and on what basis?
They are published by the operator, ValueHub. They describe how lsu.kr actually works, such as link checks, limits and deletion rules, and are revised when features change. Content that depends on outside facts, such as public agency material, cites its source in each guide's References list. If something is wrong, tell us through Contact us and it will be corrected after checking.
