What is different about a name.lsu.kr style link?
Most shortening services append a random code after the domain, like lsu.kr/Ab3dE9. lsu.kr instead lets you put a chosen name in the subdomain slot, as in ourstore.lsu.kr, so recipients can tell at a glance which shop or event it belongs to when it shows up in KakaoTalk or on a flyer.
The subdomain is the part you can name; the path code after the domain (the /Ab3dE9 part) is always a 6-character code generated automatically and cannot be chosen by the user.
What rules does the name have to follow?
The creation screen flags a name right away if it does not follow the rules. Uppercase letters are automatically converted to lowercase, so it is worth checking whether your preferred name is already taken.

Does it work over https right away after creation?

Do subdomain links go through the same safety checks?
Yes. The destination address goes through the same checks as any other link: domain age, block lists, and malware/phishing list comparisons.
Could a bot claim many subdomain names in bulk?
No. lsu.kr only allows links created by a person through a real browser, so bots or automation tools cannot mass-create names.
